3) An AV signal is inputted to an MPEG-2 encoder, the encoder outputs the
data transmitting stream (TS). The TS is inputted to the multiplexer, and then
to the QPSK modulator. An RF signal is produced for transmission by a
microwave emitter system. One AV signal needs one encoder
4) All streams are encrypted by the CA system: the end user must be enabled
by the system operator to decrypt the stream through a set top box (STB).
The STB decrypts the digital video stream
5) Digital TV RF signals are transmitted by fiber cable system to the emitter
room, and then the signals are transmitted through the emitter and
antenna system
6) The end user receives the digital air radiated signals through a microwave
receiving antenna and watches video via an STB
7) Transmission towers higher than 100m must be grounded against lightning
